Project Oxygen 2 — Co-Developer & BREEAM Consultant
Pantelis Levantis, through 4L Development OE, is co-developer of Oxygen 2 — the second phase of the first BREEAM-certified residential development in Greece. Ecoveritas serves as sustainability consultant, BREEAM assessor and BREEAM AP for the project, which is currently registered for BREEAM New Construction V6 certification.

Policy SBC Greece Annual Sustainability Conference 2025
Pantelis Levantis moderated Panel V: Governance, Policy & Private Sector Synergies at the SBC Greece Annual Sustainability Conference 2025. The panel was introduced by Efthimios Bakogiannis, General Secretary of Spatial Planning & Urban Environment at the Ministry of Environment & Energy, and featured senior leaders from DIMAND, OTE Estate, Sani/Ikos Group, Alpha Real Estate Services, and Intradevelopment, exploring the intersection of policy frameworks and private sector action in driving sustainable development in Greece.
Policy Address to the Greek Parliament on Building Regulation Reform
As a member of the Board of Directors of SBC Greece, Pantelis Levantis addressed MPs on the Greek Parliament advocating for a national sustainability strategy, the introduction of alternative incentives (e.g. tax relief for certified buildings) and piloting certified public schools as catalysts for cultural change.

Pantelis Levantis moderated Panel & Q&A for Conference Part 4: Building Incentives for Sustainability at the SBC Greece Annual Sustainability Conference 2024, held at the Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation in Athens. Panelists included James Fisher, Head of Strategic Partnerships at BRE Group, Richard Teichmann, Vice Chair of the WorldGBC European Regional Network, George Taboureas, General Manager of OTE Estate, and Evangelia Gklezakou, Senior Sustainability Manager at DIMAND.
Certification Grand Hyatt Athens — European BREEAM record
The Grand Hyatt Athens, assessed and certified by Ecoveritas, achieved a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating — setting a European record for a BREEAM In-Use certification of this scale. The 548-room, five-star hotel on Syngrou Avenue became a landmark project for sustainable hospitality in Greece.

Certification First BREEAM Refurbishment & Fit-Out final certification in Greece
Ecoveritas delivered the first-ever BREEAM Refurbishment & Fit-Out final certification in Greece (Archirodon Athens Offices Filia & Eirini), expanding the range of BREEAM scheme types successfully applied in the country.

Pantelis Levantis moderated Part 1: Current Trends and the Status of Sustainability in the Built Environment at the SBC Greece Annual Sustainability Conference 2022. Speakers included Audrey Nugent, Director of Global Advocacy at WorldGBC, Rick Fedrizzi, Executive Chairman of the International WELL Building Institute, and Johannes Kreißig, CEO of DGNB, addressing EU taxonomy and whole life carbon, planetary and human health, and future-proof sustainable building strategies.

Certification Oxygen — First BREEAM-Certified residential development in Greece
Ecoveritas served as sustainability consultant and BREEAM Assessor for Oxygen, the first residential development in Greece to pursue BREEAM certification (Design stage) — opening a new sector for sustainable building standards in the Greek market.
Certification APIVITA 'The Hive' — BREEAM In-Use Excellent becomes BREEAM case study
APIVITA's Athens headquarters 'The Hive' achieved a BREEAM In-Use 'Excellent' rating with Ecoveritas as sustainability consultant and assessor. The project demonstrated a 55% reduction in energy consumption and implementation of advanced water-saving measures.
2020
Policy Article 25.2 — Sustainability Incentives in Greek Building Regulations
Following direct engagement with the Ministry of Environment and Energy led by Pantelis Levantis as President of SBC Greece, Article 25.2 was adopted into the Greek Building Regulations, establishing building coefficient incentives for buildings achieving BREEAM Very Good, LEED Gold, or DGNB Silver certification. This landmark policy created a market-wide financial driver for sustainability certification across the entire Greek construction sector.

Award BRE Academy Fellow Member
Pantelis Levantis was awarded BRE Academy Fellow Member status — the highest level of BRE Academy membership, granted in recognition of significant activity within the industry and a high level of success and achievement in the field of sustainable building.
Industry 1st SBC Greece Annual Sustainability Conference
Pantelis Levantis, as President of SBC Greece, delivered the opening remarks and moderated Part 3: Current Trends and the Future of Sustainability at the inaugural SBC Greece Annual Sustainability Conference, held at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The conference brought together global sustainability leaders including Martin Townsend, Director of Sustainability at BRE, Kay Killmann, Managing Director of GBCI/USGBC, and James Drinkwater, Europe Regional Director of WorldGBC.
Certification BIC VIOLEX — First BREEAM-Certified industrial building in Greece
BIC VIOLEX Building D (19,874 m²) in Athens became the first industrial building in Greece to achieve BREEAM In-Use certification for both Part 1 (Asset Performance) and Part 2 (Building Management). Ecoveritas was the sustainability consultant and BREEAM auditor.

SBC Greece signs a collaboration agreement with DGNB to work closely in the areas of education and sustainability assessment and certification (DGNB).
Certification Grivalia Properties REIC — First BREEAM In-Use Excellent in Greece
The office building at 68 Vasilissis Sofias Avenue in Athens, owned by Grivalia Properties REIC, became the first building in Greece to achieve a BREEAM In-Use Excellent rating (74.8%). Ecoveritas was the sustainability consultant and BREEAM auditor.
Certification LIDL Hellas — First BREEAM In-Use certifications in Greece
Three buildings owned by LIDL Hellas in Sindos, Thessaloniki became the first in Greece to achieve BREEAM In-Use International certification, all rated Very Good. The complex includes the largest warehouse/distribution building in Greece (Building C, 62,122 m²) and two office buildings (Buildings A&B, 8,889 m²), within a 200,000 m² logistics site — the largest of its kind for LIDL in Europe. Ecoveritas was the sustainability consultant and BREEAM auditor.

Certification Centro Sarca, Milan — First International BREEAM project for Ecoveritas
The Centro Sarca retail mall (91,640 m²) in Milan, Italy received BREEAM International certification, marking Ecoveritas's first BREEAM project outside Greece. Ecoveritas served as BREEAM consultant and assessor.

Industry Founding of SBC Greece — Sustainable Building Council Greece
Pantelis Levantis with Ecoveritas, along with 19 founder members, founded and became the first President of SBC Greece (Sustainable Building Council Greece), the official Greek member of the World Green Building Council.
Award WorldGBC Leadership Awards — Business Leadership nomination
Ecoveritas was among seven nominees for the WorldGBC Business Leadership in Sustainability award, established by the European Regional Network to promote leadership and inspire best practice in sustainable building.

Certification Scriptorium Office Building — 1st BREEAM certification in offices
The Scriptorium office building achieved BREEAM certification (Design stage) with Ecoveritas as the project's BREEAM consultant and assessor (Dimitrios Delivasilis), adding to the growing portfolio of certified commercial properties in Athens. The building was developed by P. Levantis Ependitiki OE, with Pantelis Levantis as Managing Director.

BRE awarded Pantelis Levantis the BREEAM Country First Award for conducting the first BREEAM certification in Greece in 2012 (Retail building Greenstore Stamata) — marking the birth of the BREEAM market in the country.
