Pantelis holds a B.Sc. in Pure and Applied Physics and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh. He founded Ecoveritas in 2011 to bring international sustainability certification into Greek practice at a time when no precedent existed. He delivered the first BREEAM certification ever issued in Greece, recognised in 2013 with the BREEAM Country First Award. Ecoveritas has since assessed and certified 561,015 m² across 31 projects in Greece, Italy and Cyprus.
From 2015 to 2022 he served as President of the Sustainable Building Council (SBC) Greece, of which Ecoveritas is a Founder Member, leading the country's principal industry voice for green building practice through a critical period of market formation.
Beyond consultancy, Pantelis contributes to Greek building-policy reform. His advocacy contributed to Article 25.2 of the Greek Building Code (NOK), which until its judicial suspension in December 2024 provided development incentives for buildings certified with international sustainability rating systems. In May 2025 he addressed Members of the Greek Parliament on the regulatory framework governing the country's built environment, drawing on more than a decade of practice at the intersection of international certification standards and national legislation.
He has also directly contributed to BREEAM capacity-building in Greece, training more than 78 professionals in BREEAM methodology.
Academically trained in Pure and Applied Physics, he treats sustainability as a question of dynamic equilibrium rather than checklist compliance — a stance that has shaped Ecoveritas's methodology since its first project.

What We Do Today
Ecoveritas is Greece's leading BREEAM-licensed sustainability consultancy. We deliver BREEAM assessments and certifications across all building typologies — offices, retail, industrial, hospitality, residential and more — in Greece and internationally. Our services span pre-assessment and certification, sustainability strategy consulting, BREEAM training, and project management for sustainable construction.
To date, we have completed BREEAM certifications totalling 561,015 m² of assessed space, with a further 114,725 m² of projects currently underway. Our track record includes a series of national firsts: the first BREEAM certification in Greece (2012), the first BREEAM In-Use Part 2 certification, the first BREEAM New Construction residential registration, and the first BREEAM Refurbishment & Fit-Out certification in the country among others.
Our clients include institutional investors, developers, general contractors, banks, major retailers and other private companies across Greece, Italy and Cyprus.
