Dynamic Simulation Modelling
Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) is an analysis supported by appropriate software (e.g. Energy Plus, ESP-r, IES etc) that enables to model either simple or large and complex buildings for the accurate assessment of energy consumption, CO2 emissions, operating costs and occupant comfort. DSM has the capacity to take into account many different influencing factors such as building shape, orientation, location, shading of neighboring buildings, building envelop, thermal mass, daylight, solar shading, glare, glazing properties etc.
We offer DSM analysis and solutions appraisal. An excellent practice for deciding the most appropriate design solutions and specifications of a building. Furthermore, different solutions appraisal, through a cost/benefit analysis, enable the most appropriate one to be selected.

Energy Management
Either on a designed or existing building the following energy hierarchy applies:
1. Reduce the need for energy
2. Use energy more efficiently
3. Use renewable energy
4. Any fossil fuels used must be clean and efficient
We offer Building Energy Management from strategic development design level to its daily operation (Contact us for more details).

Daylight Analysis
Daylight is a crucial parameter to ensure best practice visual performance and comfort for building occupants. It is associated with many benefits for the health and well being of building occupants.
We offer daylight analysis with state of the art software (such as Revit etc.)

Waste Management
Waste management aim is to promote resource efficiency through a reduce / reuse / recycle strategy at design, construction, refurbishment, operation and demolition of buildings.
We offer Site Waste Management Plans and Operational Waste Management Strategies development.

Life Cycle Cost Analysis
Life Cycle Costing is a technique to inform decisions related to design, specification and through life operation and maintenance. Bottom line it estimates the total cost of ownership and operation of a building. Comparative costs assessments are made over a certain period of time and the lowest discounted LCC over the period is selected.
We offer Life Cycle Cost analysis (strategic and system level), option appraisal and feasibility studies.

Materials Life Cycle Analysis
Life Cycle Analysis of materials with appropriate tools can specify construction materials with low environmental impact (including embodied carbon) over the full life cycle of the building.
We offer Life Cycle Analysis Reporting, Material Selection Appraisal and Reporting e.g. for BREEAM (IMPACT compliant).

Building User Guide development
A Building User Guide is provided to all users of the building (including staff and residents) as well to the non technical facilities management team/building manager. It covers all functions and uses of the building so that non-technical building users are able to use the building effectively.
We offer development of Building User Guides.

Post Occupancy Evaluation
Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is a systematic evaluation of opinion about the building from its occupants including facilities management (where relevant). It assesses how well the building satisfies occupants' needs and identifies areas of improvement on design and sustainability performance.
We offer POE Surveying, Analysis and Reporting.
